Why an empty home cleans differently
With the furniture gone, every surface is exposed. We reach the floor along every wall, open every cabinet and drawer, and wipe shelves that spent years hidden behind dishes. With nothing to work around, the clean goes deeper than a visit to an occupied home.
Buyers and new tenants notice fingerprints on switch plates and dust on top of door frames. Those details are what we're there for.
What a move-in or move-out clean includes
It follows the same detailed checklist as our deep cleaning service, adjusted for a house with nothing in it:
- Kitchen: inside the oven, microwave and refrigerator, including the freezer; inside every cabinet and drawer; countertops, backsplash, sink and the outside of every appliance
- Bathrooms: toilets, tubs, showers and sinks scrubbed; inside vanities and medicine cabinets; mirrors polished; grout cleaned
- Hard-water scale: buildup removed from faucets, showerheads and shower glass
- Trim and walls: baseboards, door frames and trim wiped by hand, plus light switches, outlet covers and door handles
- Closets and storage: shelves and rods wiped, floors vacuumed
- Fixtures: ceiling fans and light fixtures within reach dusted
- Window sills: dust and dead bugs wiped out of every sill
- Floors: every room vacuumed and hard floors mopped, corners and edges included
Carpet cleaning is available as an add-on. Ask about it when you request a quote, and we'll fit it into the same visit so the carpets are done before the next people move in.
After a renovation or fresh paint job, book our window and post-construction cleaning for the drywall powder, stray paint and sticker glue, plus screens and window tracks.
Scheduled around closings and key handoffs
Moving days run on tight timelines, and we plan ours around yours:
- Move-outs: we clean after the movers leave and before your final walk-through or key return.
- Move-ins: we clean after the closing or lease signing and before your furniture arrives.
- Back-to-back turnovers: landlords can book the day a tenant moves out, so the unit is ready for photos and the next lease.
- Getting in: meet us there, or leave a lockbox code, garage keypad code or a key with your agent. We lock up when we finish.
The end of the month fills fast, so book a week or two ahead when you can.

Move-in and move-out cleaning FAQs
What's the difference between a move-out clean and a regular clean? A move-out clean is done in an empty home, so it goes inside the oven, fridge, cabinets and drawers and along every baseboard. A regular clean keeps a lived-in home tidy week to week.
Do you clean inside the oven, fridge and cabinets? Yes. Inside the oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, and inside every kitchen and bathroom cabinet and drawer, are part of every move-in and move-out clean.
Can you clean the same day as our closing? Often, yes. Tell us the closing time and when the movers will be done, and we'll schedule around both.
Do you offer carpet cleaning? Yes. Carpet cleaning is available as an add-on to a move-in or move-out clean. Mention it when you ask for a quote so we can plan it into the same visit.
Should the home be empty before you come? It works best that way. We can clean around a few leftover boxes, but cabinets, closets and floors come out cleanest when everything has been moved out.
